This trade is not on Ontario’s compulsory list, so you may work in it without a certificate. The Red Seal still travels across Canada as a recognised credential, and employers frequently ask for it — but in Ontario it is a qualification, not a licence.

Whether it is required or not, the exam itself is the same paper everywhere in Canada. What your province decides is whether you must hold the certificate, how you apply, and where you sit it.

4 hours, and a 70% pass mark (88/125). These are set provincially rather than by the Red Seal standard, and the four hours is the same whether your paper is 100 or 150 questions.

On a gas alarm, the technician stops work and leaves the job in a safe state, which takes seconds, then moves upwind or crosswind out of the gas, reports at the muster point for the head count, and goes back only on the all-clear. Going to the muster point through the gas or returning before the all-clear risks a fatal exposure. The other options use the same steps in the wrong order: A does 'report at the muster point for the count' before 'stop work and make the job safe', B does 'report at the muster point for the count' before 'move upwind or crosswind out of the area', and D does 'return only when the all-clear is given' before 'stop work and make the job safe'.
The event log records a low-voltage restart each time the radio keys, and the load then reaches 2.4 A against a 1.0 A supply, so the supply goes into current limit and its voltage collapses. A supply sized for the full load is needed. RF upset would not log low voltage, and a shorted cable would act all the time.
A slipped feedback clamp shifts the position the positioner thinks the valve is in, giving a steady offset everywhere. The linkage is re-secured at the right point and the travel calibration redone. Gain, characterization or supply pressure cannot correct a feedback reference that has moved.
