This trade is not on Alberta’s compulsory list, so you may work in it without a certificate. The Red Seal still travels across Canada as a recognised credential, and employers frequently ask for it — but in Alberta it is a qualification, not a licence.

They watch for sparks, slag and smouldering material on both sides of the work, put out small fires with the equipment at hand, and raise the alarm if a fire grows. Running the cart, signing the permit or controlling the area takes attention off the sparks, and the permit is signed by the authorized person.
For sheaves of equal width, a straightedge or tight string across both faces touches at four points when the sheaves are parallel and in line. Sighting by eye, equal shaft spacing or listening to the belts does not prove the sheaves are in line.
At low pressure the pipe's conductance limits the speed at the chamber. Conductance rises steeply with diameter and falls with length and bends, so runs are kept short and straight with the largest practical bore. Flexible hose and long runs lower the conductance, and grease does not help gas flow.
